A cable lug is a component of an electrical device that connects the cable to the device terminals that simplifies the assembly of personnel, maintenance, and repair processes.
Depending on the application and the industry, the usage of cable lugs differs. There are several alternatives for every installation framework. Types of lugs are categorized on the basis of their body structures, insulation and cross-sections. Mainly include Copper lugs, Bimetallic Lugs, Mechanical lugs, Pin type lug.
Copper lugs are ideal in large gauge applications for power draw or grounding. The wire can be soldered or crimped to each copper lug. And its bell mouth is specially designed to accommodate fine strand flexible conductors. Because fine stranded cables have a larger diameter than normal cables.
