Overview

Post insulators are used as support for bus-bars in transformer sub-station yards, in switchgear as support for breakers, and for capacitor banks.
Post insulator is a High Voltage (HV) type of insulator which is designed based on the IEC, ANSI and other standards. 
Composite post insulators are used for bus-bars, air switches or for other special applications.

General

  1. Ratings: up to 252kV.

  2. Application: for lines supporting and insulation of power transmission & distribution system.

  3. Standard: IEC 62217:2005, IEC 62231:2006, ANSI, etc.

Working Condition

  1. Ambient air temperature: -50℃~+50℃

  2. Altitude: ≤3000m

  3. Frequency: ≤100Hz

Product Features

  1. High mechanical strength: Post insulators face compression, torsion and bending forces every day. As a result, the insulator must have high mechanical properties to overcome these forces, or it would simply collapse and cost more to replace.

  2. Solid and puncture-proof: Being in an atmospheric space and exposed to pollution, rain, and other natural phenomena make them at risk of being damaged due to punctures.

  3. Made of aluminum oxide ceramic and porcelain: The insulator’s material should be pure insulator as well as high strength properties. We use aluminum oxide ceramics as they have well insulating properties.

  4. Flexible creepage distance: The post insulators should have a reasonable creepage distance that will not endanger the integrity of the insulating path. This distance shields against tracking.
